Important Back to School Information

Can you believe it's almost time for school to start? We have missed the energy of the students in the building and can't wait to see their smiling faces 😀 

We are looking forward to seeing all of your children on the first day of school - THURSDAY, AUGUST 27TH!! We will have an OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, August 25th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Students can come in with their parents to see their classroom and meet their teacher. Flyer attached for more info!  

Class placement letters will be mailed on August 6th.  In the meantime, this message will provide you with a lot of important information!  Please be sure to check out all the attachments to this message. Most of these attachments will be included in the mailing next week or received on the first day of school, so you do not need to print anything. 

SCHOOL COMMUNICATION: School communication is through ParentSquare and the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please see the attached flyer on the importance of accessing both of these applications. If you have not setup your PowerSchool Parent Portal, please be on the lookout for a separate email with setup instructions and login credentials (be sure to check your spam folder!). The link in the email will expire after 7 days. 

SCHOOL FORMS: In order to complete the start of school year forms (with the exception of the health form and the dismissal form) you need to sign in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal. These forms can be completed before the start of school!

Please see instructions below for accessing these forms:
PowerSchool Parent Portal App:
Open the app and select …more on the bottom right hand side of the screen
Select forms
Review each form available and complete/update/sign/or select no changes and submit  **Forms for our current school year are not yet available, so please do not complete them until right before school starts.

From the navigation on the left hand side of the screen select forms
Select General Forms from the dropdown
Review each form available and complete/update/sign/or select no changes and submit

When setting up the PowerSchool Parent Portal app you may be asked for a district code. The district code is LPWP.

DISMISSAL INFORMATION: Please turn in your child's dismissal form prior to the first day of school if at all possible. The form will be included in the mailing next week. SPECIFIC BUS ROUTE INFORMATION will be emailed to parents and can be accessed online by visiting the Bristol Public Schools Transportation page as soon as they are made available by DAATCO. Any issues with bus routes can be submitted directly to our BPS Transportation office using the following online form: BPS Transportation Feedback Form.

EMERGENCY HEALTH FORM: Please turn in your child's pink emergency health form on the first day of school (form will be included in the mailing next week).
