Dear BPS Community:

I hope this message finds you well and that you have enjoyed a restful and enriching summer with your loved ones.  As we prepare to begin the 2025–2026 school year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our students, families, and staff. To those who are new to our community, we are excited to have you join us and look forward to supporting you every step of the way.

Below, I have shared some reminders and information to help you prepare for the coming school year, which starts with the first day of school on Thursday, August 28.

2025-26 School Year Calendar
The revised 2025-26 School Year Calendar is attached.  Revisions to the parent conference dates were approved at the June Board of Education Meeting.

Annual Back to School Bash! 
Bristol Public Schools will hold its annual Back to School Bash on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at BAIMS, 70 Memorial Boulevard, Bristol.  Please see the flyers below for more information.


                                                                     
8th Annual Mayor's Back to School Pencil Hunt• Register •
Each participant will participate in a scavenger hunt for pencils, as well as take home an age-appropriate goodie bag filled with school supplies. In addition to the scavenger hunt, there will be several community resources and other vendors present to provide information and handouts for all. 

When: Thursday, August 21, 2025 (Rain Date: Monday, August 25, 2025- if the event is moved to the rain date, the schedule and programming will remain the same) at Muzzy Field, 15 Muzzy Street, Bristol, CT 06010.

Cost: FREE! But pre-registration is required. Link to registration page is above.
