Welcome to the October edition of Hawk Highlights! This month has been filled with exciting events and accomplishments, and we’re thrilled to share them with you. From a special visit from Jiji to our engaging Parent Conferences, to the fun of Trunk or Treat and the recognition of our outstanding Students of the Month, it’s been a time of celebration and community spirit. Principal Farrell ACCOUNTABLE ATTENDANCE SUCCESS!
Stafford School won the district's monthly attendance challenge for October! For those who may not know, this friendly challenge encourages Bristol elementary schools to reduce chronic absenteeism and tardiness. Our school absolutely crushed the competition, and I couldn’t be prouder of our incredible community. The trophy will be on display in the office for everyone to see, a reminder of our commitment to attendance and the hard work of our students and families. Kudos to all of you for making attendance a priority!
TRUNK OR TREAT - MORE FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Our annual Trunk or Treat event was such a fun evening filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit! A big thank you to all the families who generously donated candy—your contributions made this event a sweet success! I also want to give a special shout-out to our amazing PTO for their hard work in organizing this annual celebration. Your dedication truly made a difference in creating a memorable experience for our families and students.
JUMBO JIJI BROUGHT THE JOY - SOARing in MATH
As you may remember, our Stafford students recently participated in a friendly ST Math competition with our sister school, Mountain View. I’m thrilled to announce that Jiji has officially visited us! Our students were overjoyed to meet the gigantic Jiji in the foyer, and the energy was contagious as they took pictures and celebrated their hard work. A huge kudos to our Stafford Hawks for their incredible achievement of completing 54,257 puzzles!
FAMILY CONFERENCES
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended our recent parent-teacher conferences. It was truly wonderful to see the connections being made and to witness the strong partnership we share in supporting our students’ growth. Your involvement is invaluable, and we appreciate the time you took to engage with our teachers.
